Received The Prime Minister Award 

On August 29, 2023, the16th Award for Distinguished Contributions to the Promotion of a Maritime Nation” (The Prime Minister Award) was presented at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Tokyo. Our CEO Kazuyuki Ouchi received the award in the category of “Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Ocean”.

The reason was attributed to Ouchi’s contribution to energy conservation on large vessels by developing rigid-wing sails that utilize wind power as well as other add-on products to increase propeller efficiency.
The invention of the PBCF, which together with the Wind Challenger Project received the Minister of Transportation Award, was also highly evaluated.

By proposing our creative ideas and systems to support sustainable development of human society, we will continue striving to implement them into the world using the most of what the ocean has to offer.
